Washington, D.C. —Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) has introduced legislation to spur investment in building a stronger workforce to meet the demands of the 21st century. The USA Workforce Tax Credit Act would encourage charitable donations for community-based apprenticeship initiatives, career and technical education, workforce development and K-12 educational preparedness. Eligible nonprofits include educational institutions, community organizations, training institutes, community colleges, scholarship groups and labor union-affiliated nonprofits.
WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Lloyd Smucker voted in favor of H.R. 133 which provides additional relief to families and small businesses and continues to fund government operations through September 30, 2021. The legislation passed with strong bipartisan support. Smucker issued this statement following the vote:

LANCASTER, PA —Last evening, the United States Senate passed H.R. 7010, the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020. The legislation initially passed the House of Representatives last week with Congressman Lloyd Smucker's support, by a vote of 417-1. The legislation now heads to President Donald Trump for his signature. Rep. Lloyd Smucker released the following statement:

Lancaster – Today, Congressman Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) released the following statement in response to Gov. Tom Wolf's order to shut down all non-life-sustaining businesses across Pennsylvania:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Lloyd Smucker joins Representatives Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Chellie Pingree (D-ME) to introduced the Interstate Milk Freedom Act (H.R. 5410) today. This bill prohibits federal interference with the interstate traffic of unpasteurized milk and milk products that are packaged for direct human consumption.
It's legal to drink raw milk in 50 states. It is legal to sell raw milk in 28 states. Congress has never passed a ban on raw milk. Yet, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) did so in capitulation to a lawsuit.
