H.R. 4937 – The Workforce Reentry Act
The Workforce Reentry Act reforms the existing Reentry Employment Opportunities (REO) program to prompt innovation and improvement in the reentry of justice-involved individuals into the workforce through competitive start-up grants, rigorous evaluation, and dissemination of best practices.
Trade is a vital component of Pennsylvania's economy. Each year billions of dollars' worth of exports are sent out of the state to countries around the world. While U.S. policy should promote free and fair trade, too many of our key trading partners have implemented barriers that burden our economy here at home.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Reps. Lloyd Smucker (R-PA) and Xochitl Torres Small (D-NM) introduced legislation to help small businesses foster partnerships to improve their participation as suppliers to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-PA) helped introduce the WAGE Equity Act, the Republican alternative to the Paycheck Fairness Act. U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) introduced the legislation Tuesday afternoon. Smucker is an original cosponsor.
"From families, to education and to the workforce, women play pivotal roles in our country and it's important they're paid fairly," Smucker said. "I'm proud to be an original cosponsor of Rep.
