Military Academy Nominations
Interested in Applying to a Service Academy?
Join my team on Thursday, April 16, 2026 for Academy Night 2026, where you will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from our nation's service academies.

Please contact my Academy Liaison, Mary O'Connor, directly at mary.oconnor@mail.house.gov with the following information:
- Full name
- Mailing address (please include zip code)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Academy/Academies you wish to apply to
- Current school attending and grade (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th)
Once you contact Mary, if you are applying to the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, or the United States Merchant Marine Academy, she will send you the written application by email. That completed application, with all components, must be received by October 23, 2026 to be considered for an interview with Rep. Smucker's Academy Board.
PLEASE NOTE: The United States Coast Guard Academy has its own admissions process and does not require a congressional nomination. While my office cannot submit a nomination for the USCGA, I encourage you to follow their application instructions carefully and reach out to the Academy directly with any questions.
