The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided much-needed student loan relief during this global pandemic, suspending all monthly payments and interest accumulation for federally held student loans through September 30, 2020.

Washington– Today, Congressman Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) released the following statement regarding the announcement of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) award of $16.9 million in support to Pennsylvania in responding to COVID-19.
WASHINGTON –Today, Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) voted in favor of the bipartisan Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
"I am thankful that bipartisanship ruled the day in Washington—at least for today. This legislation offers relief to families and small businesses impacted by coronavirus.
