Washington—Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) advanced his workforce development policies as a part of H.R. 6655, A Stronger Workforce for America Act, which passed the House with a strong bipartisan vote of 378 to 26.
Washington—Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11), a member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, has introduced legislation to protect career school students from the implementation of a harmful Biden administration regulation. The Clock Hour Rule Student Protection Act, H.R. 7810 was introduced by Rep. Smucker and is supported by Reps. GT Thompson (PA-15), Dan Meuser (PA-9), Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), and Mike Lawler (NY-17).

WASHINGTON—Congressmen Lloyd Smucker (PA-11), Dan Meuser (PA-09), Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14), and Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), wrote to President Joe Biden urging his administration to reconsider and reverse its misguided decision to pause pending approvals of liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports.
The letter emphasizes the importance of natural gas to our nation's economy and national security, as well as highlights the environmental benefits of the clean energy source.

U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker’s bipartisan bill to help low-income earners save for retirement has won the support of AARP, the nonprofit that bills itself as the largest advocacy organization for Americans ages 50 and over.
Smucker’s proposal would target low-income workers who don’t have access to an employer-sponsored retirement plan. These workers would be automatically enrolled in a federal-sponsored plan that takes 3% of their income and puts it into a savings account for their retirement, but participants can change their contribution rate.
Washington—Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11), a senior member of the Committee on Ways and Means, the House of Representative’s chief tax-writing committee, voted in favor of the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act, which passed with a strong bipartisan vote of 357 to 70.
