Washington, D.C. – Today, Reps. Smucker, Blumenauer (OR-3), Tenney (NY-24), and Schneider (IL-10) announce the introduction of the Primary Care Enhancement Act, H.R. 3029, bipartisan legislation designed to expand access to Direct Primary Care (DPC).

Columbia, PA – In celebration of National Police Week, Rep. Smucker visited the Columbia Borough Police Department to honor the service and memory of former Columbia Borough Chief of Police Harry S. Hartman, who was killed in the line of duty on April 4, 1923.
Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) voted in favor of H.J. Res. 45, which would overturn the Biden administration’s student debt bailout. H.J. Res. 45 passed by a vote of 218 to 203 and heads to the Senate for consideration.
Washington, D.C.—Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) voted in favor of H.R. 3746, the Fiscal Responsibility Act. The legislation passed with a bipartisan vote of 314 to 117 and now heads to the United States Senate. Rep. Smucker released the following statement after casting his vote in favor of the legislation:
I’m pleased to announce that my office is participating in the 2025 Congressional App Challenge – a competition aimed at encouraging U.S. middle and high school students to learn how to code by creating their own applications. The Challenge is intended to highlight the value of computer science and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education.

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) voted in favor of H.R. 277, the REINS Act (Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act). The legislation would require congressional approval of major executive department regulations, including those which would have an estimated impact on the economy of $100 million or more, increase in costs or prices for consumers, or impact American businesses’ ability to compete with foreign-based enterprises.
Washington, D.C. – Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) joined his colleagues Reps. Jimmy Panetta (CA-19), David Valadao (CA-22), and Jim Costa (CA-21) in introducing the bipartisan China Trade Cheating Restitution Act to ensure that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP) distributes the remaining anti-dumping duties to U.S. mushroom, garlic, honey, and crawfish producers that weren’t paid by the agencies between 2000 and 2014.

The CAC accepts computer programs (or apps) written in any programming language, for any platform (desktop/PC, web, mobile, raspberry Pi, etc.).
