Washington, D.C. – Today the House passed U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker's (PA-16) bipartisan legislation to help veterans transition to civilian life. Rep. Smucker's VA Billing Accountability Act passed the House unanimously and would relieve veterans of financial burdens caused by delays at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-16) today announced that entries for his 2018 Congressional Art Competition will be on display at Garden Spot Village's Main Street Art Gallery for the entire month of May.
The winner's artwork will hang in the hallway between the U.S. Capitol Building and the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C. The artwork of two runners-up will be displayed in Rep. Smucker's Lancaster and Washington offices. Rep. Smucker will announce the winner and runners-up at a reception at the end of May.

On DACA:
Washington, D.C. – The House Education and the Workforce Committee, during a markup of the PROSPER Act, unanimously agreed to U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker's (PA-16) amendment that would help higher education institutions combat the opioid epidemic on their campuses.

Dwight Evans (PA-02), today introduced the Strengthening Our Pediatric Workforce Act – bipartisan legislation that will help address America’s growing pediatric physician shortage by creating a new grant program for children’s teaching hospitals to make additional residency positions available for pediatric specialists.
