Washington – Congressman Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) and members of the Pennsylvania Republican Congressional Delegation sent a letter to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Wednesday asking the Treasury Department to ensure equitable disbursement of federal funds to local governments while granting states the flexibility they need to provide critical services.
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Lloyd Smucker (R-PA-11) is introducing the Equity in Student Loan Relief Act, a bipartisan bill that would extend the temporary relief from student loan payments to Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL). The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided much-needed student loan relief during this global pandemic, suspending all monthly payments and interest accumulation for federally held student loans through September 30, 2020.
