Locally and across the nation, K-12 school districts and post-secondary institutions have begun to welcome students back for instruction. With the input of parents, our local schools have put together instructional models that will support students and educators and create safe environments to foster learning. Post-secondary institutions have responded as well. As instruction continues, our K-12 and post-secondary institutions will continue to need additional support.

As our nation continues responding to the challenges presented by COVID-19, significant progress is underway on the development of safe and effective vaccines and therapeutic treatments. This work is being led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, and coordinated across numerous federal departments and agencies along with the private sector in what is known as Operation Warp Speed.

During this week's last vote series, one of my votes was not recorded. I have verified with the House Clerk's office that my voting card was read at the voting machine for vote #218 (H.Res. 1154), but the machine did not record my ‘yes' vote. My office is working with the Clerk's office to amend the record to reflect my ‘yes' vote.
