Washington, DC – Rep. Lloyd Smucker released the following statement after voting against H.Res.601, which included language to enact a $3.5 trillion socialist budget:
Washington- Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) is announcing the introduction of H.R. 2110, the Debt Solution and Accountability Act.
Washington- Today, Rep. Smucker voted against the final passage of H.R. 1319, a $1.9 trillion progressive spending wish list and released the following statement:
WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Lloyd Smucker has been officially appointed to subcommittees of the House Committee on Ways and Means, following today's organizational meeting of the committee.
Smucker joins the Worker & Family Support Subcommittee and the Oversight Subcommittee. In addition to those assignments, Smucker re-joins the House Committee on the Budget.
WASHINGTON, DC —Today, Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) voted against the House Democrats' first package of fiscal year 2021 appropriations, H.R. 7608. The legislation contained four of the twelve annual appropriations bills. H.R. 7608 included funding for State and Foreign Operations, Agriculture, Rural Development and Food and Drug Administration, Interior and Environment, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs.

"This process is becoming too familiar – taking government funding down to the wire, massively increasing spending levels, and then spending above those increased levels without implementing any meaningful spending reforms."
Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed the bipartisan National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY20 which included U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker's (PA-11) amendment to permanently reauthorize the U.S. Department of Defense's Mentor-Protégé program with some additional accountability measures, and an amendment to require the DOD to submit a report that details the exact shortage of mental health providers at the DOD no later than 180 days after enactment.
