"I commend President Trump, and the U.S. Armed Forces that carried out the tactical strikes, for sending a clear message that the United States will no longer stand aside and watch as the Assad regime uses chemical weapons to murder innocent, defenseless Syrians. We must demand that Russia and Syria live up to their commitment to rid Syria of these deplorable weapons, and I look forward to the administration working with Congress to bring stability to the region."

Collin Peterson (MN-07) and Tom Emmer (MN-06) to introduce legislation to relieve veterans of financial burdens caused by delays at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

A member of Rep. Smucker's staff will be available to offer assistance on a number of topics, including help with federal agencies, military academy nominations, legislative questions, U.S. Capitol flag requests, and tours and tickets for constituents planning a trip to Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives today passed legislation cosponsored by U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker that would make it easier for small businesses to promote a healthy workforce and offer more affordable health care coverage.

The Small Business Health Fairness Act (H.R. 1101) would empower small businesses to band together through association health plans to negotiate health insurance costs on behalf of their employees – providing quality care at a lower cost.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-16) is working to provide more accountability at the Department of Veterans Affairs and deliver better health care to our nation's veterans. With Rep. Smucker's support, the House passed the bipartisan VA Accountability First Act and a bipartisan bill to improve the authority of the VA Secretary to hire and retain physicians.
