Washington, DC -- Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) released the following statement regarding the United States Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs vs. Jackson:

"The Supreme Court has made the right decision, which will save lives. The Pennsylvania General Assembly and Governor Wolf should take action to protect the sanctity of life. In Congress, I will continue to support pro-life policies which protect the unborn," said Smucker.

Lloyd Smucker (PA-11), a senior member of the House Budget Committee, took to the floor of the House of Representatives to speak out about rising inflation and the growing national debt, which recently eclipsed $30 trillion. Smucker's comments came as the Federal Reserve Board raised the federal funds rate to combat the 40-year high inflation Americans are experiencing; a direct result of the policies of the Biden administration.

Washington, D.C. —Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) visited McAllen, Texas with his fellow colleagues on the House Budget Committee to see President Biden's border crisis first-hand.

Smucker's visit included briefings from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials, touring border security infrastructure and processing facilities, meeting with members of the Texas Department of Public Safety, and a roundtable with local elected and law enforcement officials.

Washington, D.C. —Legislation introduced by Representatives Lloyd Smucker (R-PA-11), Lucy McBath (D-GA-06), and Gwen Moore (D-WI-04), was approved by an overwhelming 414-5 vote of the House of Representatives as part of the Securing a Strong Retirement Act of 2022 (H.R. 2954). The bill now heads to the Senate for consideration.
