Callers will receive confidential assistance from a trained responder 24 hours every day of the week, for 365 days of the year.

Washington, DC—Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) introduced legislation to honor the life of Lancaster County World War II Veteran, and last known survivor of the Malmedy Massacre, Harold Billow, who passed away at the age of 99 earlier this year. Smucker's legislation would designate the Mount Joy Post Office Building as the "Harold Billow Post Office Building" in honor of Billow, a lifelong Mount Joy resident. Smucker's legislation was introduced with the support of the entire Pennsylvania Congressional Delegation.
WASHINGTON, DC – Area Congressman Lloyd Smucker joined veteran William Balabanow of Lititz, Lancaster County, at a ceremony recognizing veterans of the United States Merchant Mariners for their service during World War II. Balabanow was one of 10 veterans who received the Congressional Gold Medal at the U.S. Capitol on behalf of the approximately 1,500 remaining Merchant Mariners of WWII. Merchant Mariners experienced some of the earliest action of the war due to German submarines attacking British merchant ships in the Atlantic, disrupting supply chains to America's allies.
Washington, DC – Representative Lloyd Smucker (R-PA-11) reintroduced the bipartisan Home For The Brave Act of 2021 with Representative Salud Carbajal (D-CA-24). The bill would exempt veterans' VA disability benefits from counting toward total income when determining their eligibility for housing assistance programs through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Lloyd Smucker voted against the House Democrats partisan 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The bill passed the House by a vote of 220 – 197.
WASHINGTON, D.C. –Two pieces of bipartisan legislation sponsored by Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) were adopted by the House Armed Services Committee during a markup of the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 2500).
Congressman Smucker's Warrior Wellness Act (H.R. 1801) and Defense Small Business Advancement Act (H.R. 2974), were offered as amendments to the NDAA. The NDAA now proceeds to the full House of Representatives for consideration.
