Smucker Responds to Ban of Russian Oil Imports

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) released the following statement in response to President Biden's announcement to ban Russian oil imports:

"While better late than never, the Biden administration has taken far too long to ban Russian oil. Members of Congress, including myself, and the American people have been calling for this move for some time. President Biden's administration now must take the next step to unleash American energy production. His unwillingness to advance policies to increase domestic energy production is leading to higher gas prices. Failure to support American energy production will weaken our nation," said Smucker.
