We Cannot Refuse to Make the Tough Decisions

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-16), at a House Budget Committee hearing this morning, expressed the concerns of his constituents that today's younger generation, and future generations, will not have the same opportunity to achieve the American Dream as past generations and will be saddled with an insurmountable national debt.

During the hearing, Rep. Smucker said:

"They're concerned that their kids, their grandkids, will not have the same opportunities to live the American Dream that we all have had. People are very concerned about that. And they're concerned that we are asking future generations to pay the bill."
