“I want to thank Speaker McCarthy for the opportunity to serve as a Member of the British-American Interparliamentary Group. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is our nation’s most steadfast ally. I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue to strengthen ties between our nations and find additional opportunities to cooperate on policymaking. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I especially look forward to conversations about formalizing our nations’ trade relations,” said Rep. Lloyd Smucker.
